sobu – the company
We are a start-up launched by a Swiss Post spin-off and, since 1st May 2016, an independent business. sobu’s planned internationalisation led to Swiss Post agreeing to a management buyout. It all started in 2011, back when sobu emerged as a recommendation platform from the pool of innovative ideas generated at Swiss Post. We have since successfully established ourselves on the Swiss market, gaining international recognition along the way. In 2015, we were nominated as one of the “Best in General E-Commerce” at the eCommerce Awards for Excellence in London. In January 2016, we were awarded the title of “Coolest Startup” at the WORLDWEBFORUM in Zurich. Our goals have since become even more ambitious. With our business model, we are aiming to revolutionize and leave a lasting impact on the marketing world. Roberto has 25 years of marketing experience. He holds a HF degree in business administration and gained brand management experience at Heineken. He developed the idea for sobu while working as Head of Agency Consulting at Swiss Post. In 2016, he prepared the spin-off and founded the company. Roberto is responsible for strategy, business development and finance.
